Recruited by the founders to take on the role of CEO and help the business transition to the next stage. Built international presence and ran offices in three regions, increased sales by 5X, strengthened P&L taking it towards profitability, developed new revenues streams and products, attracted a strong management team, created a vision for the shareholders, board and employees and led a successful fundraise taking the business into a new strategic direction.
Established three new offices in three countries and turned what was essentially a Belgian company into a pan-continental business. Defined & executed the general investment strategy, redesigned organisational models, integrated the local operations in the global process and led cultural change.
Provided seed capital and participated in subsequent rounds of funding in a company that is a high end menswear business that specialises in custom fit clothing for men. The company has gone from strength to strength – building on its innovation in business model and supply chain. It has also shown a strong upward trend in sales and profitability, while juggling an international expansion into Europe.
Recruited by experienced investment professionals to ideate and build a business plan for a nascent start up which was to provide online investment advisory services to individuals in Europe.
Fe-structured a skeleton of an idea into an executable plan leading an existing wine investment business to launch a new revenue stream – high-yield lending against exquisite wine collections. Drafted launch plans, which supported a successful start up in Oct 2011. The company now offers over 40 million pounds in wine loans.
Invested in a company that has developed an effective and ecological technology to reduce domestic pollution. The business has since taken its operation international and achieved a public listing realising value for shareholders.
Recruited to develop a go-to-market plan that would take an established and successful UK based business into Holland. Created a market entry strategy, liaised with regulators and identified partners to design new product and lead the team into a new region.
Developed a business plan, pricing & negotiation strategy and financial plan to support a fundraise for company that had developed unique technology to prevent food wastage. Part of the role also included mentoring the founders to pitch on Dragons Den, an investor show broadcast on BBC.
